Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when ticket orders on Ayuhasca may be cancelled or refunded. It is designed to be clear before you pay, in line with Sri Lankan Consumer Affairs Authority expectations for e-commerce disclosures.
Effective date: 1 October 2026
1. Scope and who refunds
Ayuhasca is operated by alteredMinds Software Solutions (PVT) Ltd.. For most events, tickets are sold by the Organiser through our platform. Refunds for Organiser-side cancellations or event failures are typically processed via the platform on behalf of the Organiser, unless we tell you otherwise.
This Policy applies to purchases completed on Ayuhasca. Seat holds that expire before payment are not purchases and release automatically with no charge.
2. Information before you buy
Before you confirm payment you will see the event, tier, quantities, and total price including disclosed fees. By paying, you acknowledge that tickets are for a time-specific leisure / entertainment service and that refund rights are limited as set out below, except where Sri Lankan law gives you a non-excludable right.
Please review venue rules, age limits, and the event date/time carefully. Wrong-date or buyer’s-remorse purchases after a successful payment are generally not refundable.
3. Seat holds (before payment)
- A hold locks seats for a short window (normally 10 minutes) while you check out.
- If you abandon checkout or the hold expires, the reservation ends and no payment is taken for those seats.
- No refund request is required for an unpaid, expired hold.
4. Cooling-off and cancellation after payment
Sri Lankan Consumer Affairs Authority directions for e-commerce emphasise clear cancellation/withdrawal terms and, in certain trade contexts, a right to cancel an order within a short period (commonly referenced as seven days from the order).
Event tickets are date- and capacity-specific services. Once payment succeeds and tickets are issued, we generally do not offer a change-of-mind refund, because inventory cannot be freely restocked without harming other buyers and the Organiser—except where a mandatory cooling-off or cancellation right applies to your purchase under applicable CAA directions or other law, or where this Policy expressly allows a refund.
If you believe a mandatory cooling-off right applies to your order, contact us within that statutory window with your order reference. We will assess the request in good faith against the applicable rules and the nature of the ticketed service.
5. Change of mind / personal inability to attend
Subject to section 4 and mandatory law, tickets are non-refundable if you cannot attend because of travel issues, illness (unless an Organiser’s published insurance/credit scheme says otherwise), schedule conflicts, or similar personal reasons.
Organisers may optionally allow transfers or name changes; any such facility will be stated on the event page or communicated by us/the Organiser.
6. Event cancelled or materially rescheduled by the Organiser
- If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price paid through Ayuhasca for unused tickets (and refundable fees as disclosed at checkout).
- If an event is postponed or the venue/date/time changes materially, we or the Organiser will offer either (a) validity of your ticket for the new details, or (b) a refund if you choose not to attend the revised event, as communicated in the notice.
- Refunds in these cases are typically returned to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after the refund is approved, subject to bank/payment-provider timelines.
7. Duplicate charges, failed fulfilment, and platform errors
If you are charged more than once for the same order, charged for tickets that were never issued, or experience a confirmed technical failure preventing use of a valid ticket solely due to our platform, contact us promptly with your order reference and payment proof. Valid cases will be refunded or corrected.
Gate/entry refusal for reasons within venue or Organiser control (dress code, intoxication, security, late arrival after cut-off) does not by itself create a refund right against Ayuhasca.
8. Partial attendance and scanned tickets
Tickets that have been scanned or otherwise marked as used are not refundable, except where the entire event is cancelled after entry was wrongly processed and we confirm an error, or where mandatory law requires otherwise.
9. How to request a refund
- Email ayuhasca@gmail.com with subject line “Refund request”, or call +94 76 660 7757 / +94 75 714 0996.
- Include your full name, order reference, event name, ticket codes if available, payment proof, and reason for the request.
- We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 3 business days and to decide within 14 business days, unless a complex Organiser investigation is required.
- Postal address for formal notices: Ayuhasca, alteredMinds Software Solutions (PVT) Ltd., No 92/5 1/1, Gangodawila, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka.
10. Refund method and deductions
Approved refunds are made to the original payment instrument where possible. We do not issue cash refunds at the venue unless the Organiser expressly arranges that.
Where a refund is granted for reasons other than our error or a full event cancellation, non-refundable payment-gateway charges actually incurred may be deducted if they were disclosed as non-refundable at checkout and deduction is permitted by law.
11. Statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this Policy limits rights you may have under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, No. 9 of 2003 (including remedies related to implied warranties for services where they apply), Consumer Affairs Authority directions on e-commerce, or other mandatory Sri Lankan law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Consumer Affairs Authority or seek other remedies available under Sri Lankan law.
12. Policy updates
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The effective date will change when we do. The version published at the time of your purchase governs that order, except where a newer version is more favourable to you or law requires otherwise.
